What are the participation requirements?

Minimum age: Diamond Defence courses require participants to be at least 18. Individual courses may have further requirements.

On the day: You must not be impaired by alcohol, drugs or medication. Follow the instructor’s directions and all applicable safety rules.

Swiss firearms law: Acquiring, possessing and handling firearms is subject to legal restrictions. In Switzerland, citizens of Albania, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Serbia, Sri Lanka and Türkiye are generally prohibited from handling firearms. Further requirements under the terms: You must be in good health. Bring or submit a passport or identity card and either a criminal record extract no older than three months or an acquisition permit no older than two years. Certain convictions or other disqualifying factors may prevent participation.

At least four weeks before the course: refund less a 10% handling charge, or full credit towards another course within six months. Less than four weeks but more than 14 days: 50% refund or credit.
